When the district determines that the winter weather causes danger for getting to and from school and closes school for the day, will that affect DD Online Academy? Yes! Our virtual school is included in a district-wide closure.

If DDSD has a district wide Late Start/Early Release due to inclement weather, DDOA will also have a Late Start/Early Release.  The principal will email families a reminder on the day of with a specific start time.

If DDSD cancels school due to inclement weather, DDOA will also close.

When a closure happens, we share that information with our community as early in the morning as possible.
